The International Energy Agency predicts that global oil investment will decrease by 6% in 2025, and the total investment in the oil and gas industry across the board will drop by approximately 4%, slightly below $57 billion; global refinery investment will fall to its lowest level in nearly a decade, at around $30 billion; while investment in natural gas fields is expected to remain at the level of 2024, simultaneously, the investment in new liquefied natural gas plants has significantly increased. The International Energy Agency report states that the global liquefied natural gas market will experience the largest economic growth ever during the period from 2026 to 2028.
